Honestly, who would want Peralta? I wish we could just release that worthless POS.
That's what I mean, get rid of him, any way possible.

Well, that useless piece of shit Peralta could be benched/traded/thrown in my trunk.
Oh gosh; I feel Marte was under lots of pressure in AAA to perform well. When he was sent down the last time by the Indians he went through waivers and NO ONE claimed him at all. He either had to start performing in AAA this year, or run the risk of being out of baseball totally after this year. Now he has not only a chance with the Indians the rest of this year, but if not Cleveland, another team may now want him as well. So yes; I do believe he had pressure even in AAA.So you're sick of players performing when the pressure is off, but you'll be all for giving Andy Marte another shot because he's performing well under no pressure in AAA.
Don't you think that is a bit hypocritical?

Peralta is NOT the future. Period. Hodges and Chisenhall ARE the future.. moreso Chisenhall as this kid is a beast. I feel current players like Peralta and Shoppach are almost useless in working towards the future. I would be astonished if they lasted until next March on this team.Yes, Jhonny is having a rough year. But, if you look at his career his averages projected over 162 game season are .268 with 20 HR and 80 RBI. He's hardly a POS as you phrased it. I don't think you throw away someone like that. He's done more than Andy Marte ever will at the big league level.

The 2007 playoffs are the only time we 'needed' them the most, since our team wasn't any good in 08 and 09, and in the playoffs he was our best hitter.Agree! Hopefully Peralta is on his way out. I am sick of him doing his best when we need him least.
Well, after the callup, Marte has proved AGAIN that he isn't big league caliber. It is pretty obvious that Shapiro and Co. have overreacted to the Phillips fiasco and are giving stiffs like Marte extra looks that they don't deserve.
