Curious to know what coach you think would be doing a better job of development and/or record with the roster we've had post Lebron?

Like I have said before, Tom Izzo (if he would have accepted), Flip Saunders, etc. All would have been perfectly acceptable.

Alright, this one's for the guys who remember previous Coach Scott-led teams:

Does anyone know if he ever rotated an entire bench in his Nets/Hornets days or actually stuck to a solid one? I swear these rotations won't work unless your bench quality is contender level...

This is getting ridiculous. The rotation is just god awful. The Sloan/Boobie/Casspi/Leur/Samuels is just a disgraceful line up.

Like I have said before, Tom Izzo (if he would have accepted), Flip Saunders, etc. All would have been perfectly acceptable.

What exactly is he supposed to do? This roster is terrible, probably by design. But by all means, keep lobbing bombs at Scott like he has the 96 Bulls roster. Scott is not going to play Irving and Waiters into the ground in a rebuilding year, nor should he. You'd be the same people ripping him if he played Irving 40+ mins a night and he suffered a season ending injury.

Bottom line, why kill the 2-3 good players on this team to win 30 games and miss the playoffs? You're basically asking Byron Scott to be stupid. Reality is, this roster/team is freaking awful. If Byron gets this sorry bunch to within a sniff of the postseason, he should win coach of the year.

maybe he is making a point, that he has a shit bag at the end of his roster. in any case there is no way Donald Sloan should be on the floor another minute. basically when he is in e other four are having to carry him. Pargo must be dead to be behind Sloan in any type of depth chart.

Rik, serious question. What are your expectations for this Cavs team this year? What do you expect to see record-wise?

Me, personally. I'd like to see them develop these young kids into a killer 1-2 combo, Gee find a consistent offensive game, get the best possible deal we can for Varejao, and lose a mountain of games so we can add to this core through the draft.

The sooner people just admit this team is terrible, the sooner we can accept that each game is a chance to improve, and they wont get better if they stick Irving or Waiters out there by themselves with 4 rec league caliber guys. They need to play together and learn how to play off each other.

So Donald Sloan also shouldn't play? So now we are out Donald Sloan, Omri casspi, CJ Miles, and Luke Walton. Zeller is hurt. So, can I ask who exactly we should bring off the bench? Because if we are just going by level of play, Samardo Samuels and Jon Leuer ALSO shouldn't be playing any minutes.

Exactly.... Dion and Kyrie should never be on the floor together unless its the beginning of the 1st, 3rd and end of the 4th.

Pull Dion at the 6 min. mark of the 1st.. have Kyrie play the full quarter. Bring Dion in start of 2nd.. take him out at the 6 min. mark... put Kyrie back in. etc. Its not ideal but that is what happens when you have a bench bunch as shitty as ours.

Even if he continues with the bench starting the 2nd.. please just pass it to Samuels or Zeller in the post (when healthy).. I'm sure they can come up with something 100x better than Sloan pick and roll, Boobie attempting to beat his man only to pass it back to Sloan after failing, and Casspi/CJ chucking up a god awful contested shot.

Then this is missing the point of drafting Waiters. We drafted him to play with Kyrie. They want to develop that.

No one wants to answer my question, so I'll ask a bunch at once. What is the end game here? What will that accomplish? We win 27 games vs 24? What's the point? Do you actually think we're a contender in the East?
