That makes me even more surprised that he signed here

And he's accustomed to playing around 30 minutes per game. I would imagine his minutes might drop to around 18-20 per game. But that will help keep him healthy for the playoffs.

Great signing, don't see how Thompson is on this team unless he is playing large minutes at backup center now. Hopefully he plays well at center, if not maybe he can be moved at the deadline. The Jazz scrubs seem to be out of place I wonder if they are in the Love trade or what the plan is for them.

Marion will be amazing off the bench.

I'm going to guess he meant the kind of impact he would have, not necessarily their playing styles.

Why are people saying Marion will be playing PF? His minutes in Dallas were mostly at SF. He'll be backing up LeBron. He certainly can play short stretches at the 2 and 4.

I like Marion but i will be the first to admit that i haven't watched much of the Mav's since their championship run. Love Dirk...big fan of Cuban but they just aren't nationally televised as much these days.

Question to anyone who has watched Marion as of late: How well does he guard 4's?

IMO, he seems undersized at the 4. Does he use his athleticism going for steals? Even at 36, he has always possessed elite athleticism making him appear to be one of the quickest on the court.

I know he can lockdown players on the perimeter. I am just looking for a bit more insight on how versatile of a defender he is at this point in his career in regards to guarding other positions besides SF.

Any insight ya'll could provide would be much appreciated.

All Cavs fans need to take a moment and really appreciate this offseason. This has all seemed more like a dream or fantasy than reality. I have never thought moves like this could have ever happened and something like this will never happen again.

Marion is a great signing. His versatility and experience will be huge and gives the Cavs so many lineup and style options. Fewer minutes could also help his effectiveness too.

I hope not. No reason to. Love will play 35 minutes there. Other 13 minutes should go to Marion and LeBron (small ball).

Split the 48 minutes up at C between Andy and TT however you like.

I think they'll limit minutes somewhat for Lebron and Love. Love has been injured quite a bit, he doesn't have to play long minutes if we have lots of depth. Tristan has proven to be a very durable player, good rebounder and I think they'll use him to help keep all the older guys fresher. We'll certainly see lots of different looks with this roster, but I don't think they'll view TT as solely a backup center.
