Here ya go. Game 3, series tied one apiece, Tribe up 1-0 in the 9th, Grissom loses the most routine fly ball (in the entire history of routine fly balls) in the lights at the worst possible time.Hilarious! I don't even remember that! I just remember Marquis's homer that won the game in Camden Yards...isn't it odd what we become fixated on? I'm still livid Lofton wasn't sent home to tie the seventh game in the 2007 ALCS in Fenway...I just knew, I KNEW, Casey Blake was going to bang into a double play on the next pitch. And he did. Because the sports gods never reward the timid.
(To be fair, he did steal home later that game to win it in extra innings; and he did have that GW bomb in Game 2. But that fly ball stands as the one time in my life when I threw something at my TV. In my defense, the "something" was a pillow; and the TV I had at the time sucked, so any excuse to replace it would have been a good one.)
