It’s clear the league of only two Xmas day games, and the sole game on in its time slot, as a prime time game. So from the league perspective, they put the Browns in the 4 primate time games tier.

it seems like the 5 prime time games tier is essentiall the best or most talked about teams over the last 3-4 years + Dallas who they’ll always cater to for a variety of reasons.

Even after the initial time to process, I would like to pile on with a complaint about the prime time game breakdown.

5 games each
Packers, Saints, Cowboys, Seahawks, Steelers, Ravens, Rams, 49ers, Chiefs and Bucs

4 games each
Bears, Vikings, Raiders, Colts and Bills

3 games each
Giants, Patriots, Chargers, Titans, Browns, Cardinals and the Football Team

On top of that, only 1 of our 3 primetime games are at home, and its not even a Sunday or Monday night. Additionally, our two road primetime games? Both against our division rivals.

Sure, you have to play the games on your schedule and I get it that some of you like having Sunday afternoon games. But there is a large subset that looks forward to night games in Cleveland. Additionally, the players repeatedly say how much they love primetime games. To give teams like the Saints with no QB, Packers with potentially no QB, Steelers with no QB, and Ravens with no QB 2 more prime time games than the Browns? That's a slight I hope the players use to motivate themselves.

The Browns have 4 PrimeTime games. The game in Green Bay is on Christmas day and the only game being played on that time slot. Not to mention they can get flexed into a Saturday game with the Raiders game, which I'm sure will be a big one if the Raiders find themselves in WC contention again this year.

That being said, The Browns are a rising team that will probably get flexed into a spot again, but they aren't quite the history/media darling that those teams that got 5 games are yet. They will figure it out soon enough, though.

They signed Villanueva

Villanueva wasn't good enough for the Steelers to bring back, not sure why we should expect it to be good enough to be an Orlando Brown replacement. Either way, I'm glad Myles gets to continue to beat him 2 game a year.

4 national games is enough for me to go bananas about, thats for sure.

I think the argument is he'll be more effective as a RT on a good line with the most mobile QB in the league vs LT on a bad line with one of the least mobile QBs.

I think that's a very bad argument.

Edit: I'll say that it probably won't affect that much in their passing game. Lamar is good enough to avoid 99% of pressure.

But Villanueava is baby poop soft in the running game.

Heard where

I know someone connected to the Browns. I’ve dropped a few nuggets here in the past. Only when I hear it from this one person.

Having said that, I suppose he could respond to treatment and play in the fall, but I heard he is likely done.

Dang. Didn't know it would get to anyone like that. It's not that serious.

I find it funny, and find it even more funny how upset it makes Baltimore fans, which is really what makes it worth it. The joke (or not joke) isnt going anywhere. Its going to be repeated for the rest of his career, whether right or wrong because non-Ravens fans know its going to dig at them. Hope it doesnt continue to get people upset, because it's really all in good fun.

Me ATTEMPTING to make a joke and it not hitting isn't something I'm going to get upset about. My kids don't laugh at me either, so Im used to it. I'm more upset that the rest of my post didnt get any attention. That was what I was really hoping would spark some conversation, not a meaningless throwaway line.

Anyway, go Browns. Have a good day guys.

I am not as upset as some about the Lamar Jackson is a rb joke, but it is dumb and here is why.

Lamar has started 37 games and thrown for about 7,000 yards in those games.

That means 191 yards a game. No its not a modern offense, but he does throw the ball. He happens to run a 4.3 40 and that is a weapon. A weapon that has happened to kicking the Browns defense's ass for 3 years, but hopefully our new defense is able to stop him finally.

Its just silly, its like saying Kamara is a receiver because he caught 85 balls for 783 yards. Kamara is a weapon that can catch the ball out of the backfield but is still a rb.

The Browns moved away from the old archetype of linebacker - plus size Mike, fights through blocks, run-stopper - and brought in twitchier, compact Will linebackers. Last year the only guys who fit the Will profile were Mack Wilson and Malcolm Smith, now they have three new guys who fit the bill. I'm excited to see if this group fares better against mobile quarterbacks.

In fairness, they also signed Anthony Walker, who is very much a more traditional thumper. So I don't think they're moving away from having that "Mike" position as much as they ensuring mobility elsewhere among LB's.

In nickel, I still think they're run with one thumper -- a Walker/Takitaki type, and one JOK/Wilson/Fields type. Be interesting to see when they run dime if they are willing to go with 4 DL, and then 7 guys all around 220 or less.

Ravens will probably sign Mitchell Schwartz. They always catch a break
