What else do y’all want to talk about? :chuckle:

This goddamn hellscape of having ONLY regular season college basketball and a barely watchable Cavs team until baseball returns is the pre-cursor to Watson for Mayfield rabbit holes.

Jesus take the wheel.

??????????????

Fair.

This week they’ve been more than watchable.

Downright fun.

I wouldn’t know, however. NBA league pass miraculously blacks me out of Cavs games....living in Pittsburgh

Highlights are dope, though.

Major Bummer on the blackouts - find some streams to watch. They’re not only trending up, they are very entertaining to watch. Legit fun!

Eat that ass: a lot like the Browns, actually - to stick to the thread :)

Looking at it purely from Watson's point of view I'd go to the NFC without question. The AFC will be stacked with young QB talent in each division (assuming Jax takes Trevor Lawrence) for the next five years. The NFC has a huge gap below ageing stars in Rodgers, Brady and peak-years Russell Wilson.

Is there a way to thumbs down the trajectory of this thread?

Agreed. Why are we talking about getting Watson when there is almost no chance we make the trade? Huge time waster, i get its a message board, but why live in fantasy land?

We have 2 games today, an offseason full of possibilities that dont include a change at QB, and a VERY watchable Cavs team that at near full health just mini swept the ECF favorite.

I think Baker is going to be a star and lead this franchise to many victories, including playoff victories and hopefully Super Bowl berths. People are discounting just how much he improved over the course of a single season. He is the guy.

Watson is a great QB. But it’s just like saying Mahomes is a great QB. It has no relevance to the Browns, because any potential trade would involve gutting the team when we already have major defensive weaknesses. We have our guy at QB and in a team sport, I fully believe Baker’s team can beat Watson’s team when it counts.

While I agree on we won’t be getting Watson, I still think we can improve our offense more.
No longer does the phrase “Defense wins championships” apply. Points, Points and more Points is want we need to win.

Of course we can improve our offense more. But we don’t have to do it by changing QBs.

Also if you trust media reports, Watson’s “preferred” landing spot is the New York Jets. If that tells you anything about his judgment.

Watson is better than Mayfield, but I also don't think the Texans would have a huge amount of interest in a QB that is looking for a big extension as early as this offseason if they're going to unload Watson.

Unloading Watson certainly feels like the first step in a full blown rebuild where the Texans grab as many draft picks as possible.

I could be wrong, but it seems like Houston would be much more apt to accepting three first round picks and grabbing a rookie QB with one of those than they would be accepting a soon to be high priced QB and one first round pick.
