Andrew Berry is regarded well by agents.

Some quotes about Berry in the Article. (Should be fine to post since its not the entire article)

“I think (first-year general manager) Andrew Berry is a great mind. On a personal level, I like him. We have great conversations. I just think the way he deals with people, his football knowledge.”

“He already has (the Browns) on a great path.”

He also received 2 votes from agents regarding what GM is the smartest.

Weird seeing the Browns develop candidates instead of watching them beg for jobs after a few years of mediocrity.

to be fair I think this guy was on his way up in San Fran. But yeah it’s different.

How about Andrew Berry?

We all like to play a bit of armchair GM, but the real scope of work for a guy like this goes well beyond choosing between the various high profile guys we can all watch on youtube.

Of the five Browns who took Covid waivers for the season in August, three were OG's. That's just ridiculously bad luck. But freaking Berry just went to work.

Digging up Dunn, and the behind the scenes deep scouting that must go on for us to have targetted and acquired a late season guy as far down another team's depth chart as was Hance, is just impressive as shit.

The sheer amount of work that must go into all that, the building of the right kind of scouting organization, and it all happened in just his first season as GM. As much as we hit a homerun with Stefanski, Berry absolutely deserves his recognition as well.

This guy continues to look more and more impressive. Not sure how many GMs can identify productive practice squad players on the fucking Jets...or even have the foresight to realize getting a player like this may be necessary to survive a playoff game.

You all know that I was a Berry stan already. I was a fan of his during the hiring process. I was enamored with him after our first two picks. I really like the way this organization is set up, from top to bottom.

Seeing that camera shot yesterday of DePo, Haslam and Berry made me even more confident in him. I know that look, that image of him standing there with his backpack next to the owner. Both confident and presentable, but also there's no question--you're there to be competent and do work, not just look pretty and schmooze like the guy next to you. Anyone in a technical role knows that look. One of us! One of us!

Fuuuuuuuck these people, man.

The absolute gall of anyone to suggest that Eliot fucking Wolf is some sort of template for what constitutes a “football guy” over Andrew Berry.

Ill bet a second mortgage that Eliot Wolf has taken more wedgies and been stuffed in more lockers than Andrew Berry has. What the fuck makes Wolf “more qualified” to evaluate football talent?

Guess the “it factor” is bullshit on more than just player evals, now.
