What we need to remember is he's a 19 year old man who was SEC Freshman of the year who is lightning quick and wants to be the best. He's got the talent and tools and the work ethic to get it done. He is coachable and plays gritty and hates losing. That's better than half our current roster.

I am very happy with Sexton. Areal pg with speed who can create.

I never really thought that Kyrie had great court vision. He was also a shitty defender and died on every screen. Kyrie also lived below the rim, but was great at doing it.

What he had was elite finishing, clutch scoring, and other-worldly handles.

Sexton has better athletism, defense, and finishes above the rim. If he tightens his handles and improves his shooting IQ, he could be a great player.

One of the things I liked about Delly and even Cedi is the tenacity they play with.
Sexton is aggressive, plays physical and has quick hands on defense.
I like him more than SGA and Trae Young. We need his defense from the guard position.

Article on Sexton with Avery Johnson and other coaches just GUSHING over him....

That article states he liked to pass first but was forced to be a scorer at alabama.
Which is good for this team if everyone returns.

My main concern with Sexton is if his body can hold up. He plays a violent style of basketball which can lead to injuries for some. But dude is relentless on defense and at trying to get the bucket. He may not be the best defender but he tries hard which most players these days dont even try.

He didn't finish above the rim in Bama.

Article also talks about his IQ and basketball mind (and overall high intelligence). Cavs need those and we all know LBJ wants smart players

Trae Young vs Collin Sexton game highlights. Trae is silky smooth, quick trigger, lethal range. Sexton is extremely physical, fast, all-around solid. The broadcasters mention Sexton winning a slam dunk contest.

After watching this video, a lot of things make sense. There is NO MOVEMENT with Alabama and they are just waiting around with lazy pick-and-roll and Sexton is their only offense. That would explain the turnovers and lack of assists. He fits the Cavs so well and he should already know the playbook since it is basically two plays. Sexton is fast as hell and Trae Young is going to be an exciting player to watch.

Sexton will apparently wear number 2. Dude apparently has no fear considering the last number 2 in Cleveland despite being a beta bitch was pretty damned good for us.

Holy shit, that's some balls there. I mean, the way he left was a close second to The Decision, but that dude single handedly moved "The Shot" from the painful memory of Ehlo to the moment that Donkeylips went to go cry in the car.

you just can't compare a project player like Sexton to Kyrie at this point. Kyrie's handles and clutch shooting, including three point shooting, were at the very highest all-NBA, borderline historic type level. Even if Sexton significantly improve his handles and shooting it's unlikely he would ever match Kyrie in those areas. They are just very different players. Sexton has some physical/athleticism strengths Kyrie did not as well.
