Last night was the Sexton I want to see more often. He showed out against the very likely Rookie Of The Year, who is way more flashy AND fundamental a guard in this league.

I still want to see him play way less with Garland. Defensively those two just aren't working.

McKinnie showed something last night as a guy who can help cover up Colin's issues on that end. If he keeps trying to find guys like last night, he can lead a unit of lesser talented guys and still succeed on offense.

Kind of hoping we keep McKinnie

Why would u waste one of your hopes on McKinnie? When I hope, I hope big.

Like calling Sir Dom up.
I think Mckinnie can be useful now off the bench. We got enough guards unless something opens up after trades

This was good to see.

Collin didn't get an assist on the play, but he made the right pass and I think Love wanted to give him some love. This road trip has shown him he can make the right pass and still get his points. I'm hopeful he's turning a corner and we won't see as much selfish play.

Beilein said the drive and kick is what they have been working on with Collin and that it is finally showing on the court.

Let's hope Collin sees those assists and wants more. He had some good hustle plays too. Good game

We are seeing glimpses. I would guess we see better passing against bad defense like this bulls game. He is finding love and Cedi. I hope this is a sea change and doesn't just go away.

I want to keep Sexton. I think overall upside Garland is better, but Collin is going to be the better scorer

Gonna keep quoting myself. Sexton doesn't "trust" the pass. Like in the end he is not calling anyone but himself. I don't think he doesn't have vision I think he doesn't trust his teammates

That's a bad thing

Beilein seem to change the rotation again tonight. A lot of the drive and kick, where he moved the ball well was with the second unit in the Memphis game. Beilein went back to Garland running the second unit, they seem to switch off from game to game.

Drive and kick is just as much about the drive player making the pass as the rest of the guys making quick decisions and not allowing the defense to reset. There is a certain amount of energy that the drive player has to exert to get the ball moving, if players hesitate or reset the offense, it's wasted energy. We saw the team basically completely give up on drive and kick when they traded Kyrie. LeBron couldn't carry that load alone.

The starters have a tendency to reset or slash instead of making the quick pass or shot. I agree he doesn't trust guys but I think until Garland is better off the ball especially on catch and shoot and Cedi stops backing out and resetting, Sexton's drive and kick game is fairly useless to the starting unit.

There was one play that turned into a turnover in the 4th that had me yelling at the screen. It was Sexton effectively playing 1 on 5. The rest of the team was taking forever to get on the other side of the court.

LOL!!! Is KLove giving him love or keeping him away from coach B? LOL!! Good to see though.

By time this kid understands the game he’ll be ready to retire or will be a Jeff Teague with no ascension.

Average talent !

This was the most predictable development ever in the history of basketball, but if you look back on this thread and the Garland thread at the time of the draft you will find lots of people coming up with excuses for how this pairing could work.

He must be leading the nba in number of shots getting block. But still like his reported work ethic and effort.
