My Cowboys disappointed me last night. They better use all their practice time on picking up all out blitzes, because that is now the blueprint defenses around the league are going to use against them.
Wanna know why our other backs don't spell Murray as much? They are awful in pass protection.
What was funny was that they were interviewing Jerry Jones when the Cowboys were winning, and they asked him what made the team so good this year. He said the offensive line, and how much better they were than anyone gave them credit for.
Then the roof started caving in....
Seriously fun game to watch, especially with the McCoy/Weeden factor.
The problem wasn't at all with the Cowboys line, they pretty much manhandled the Redskins in the trenches. The Redskins did an outstanding job, disguising their blitz packages.
Sometimes they'd send everyone up at the line of scrimmage, then back off, then other times they'd come.
I give Romo a lot of blame, for not switching to better audibles. Some quick slants, screens, something that gets rid of the ball with one-on-one coverages.
Then again, he clearly was hurt, and probably shouldn't have came back in. I know it's Brandon Weeden, but he didn't play too bad.
I predicted the Cowboys to lose this game. I don't think they're a bad team, but definitely not the best team in football. Tony Romo stills tries to do too much at times. He's a talented player, I'm not going to seriously put this game on him. He was hurt, and shouldn't have came back in though.
That's fair. One of the reasons I was happy Romo could come back in was because I trusted him more to call those audibles than Weeden. Clearly that didn't work out too well.
Not sure if it was coaching or Romo, but we should not have thrown on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th down. That's the type of playcalling that Cowboys fans cringe at and has been largely missing this season.
They are not the best team in football, but I believe they could put themselves right there by the time the playoffs roll around. Just gotta rebound next week against a tough opponent.
It was a tough call, because obviously I'd rather have Romo at QB than BRANDON Weeden, but he didn't look healthy to me at all.
He is tough, I don't think anyone can say he's not. I don't know if they would have won with Weeden last night, hard to say that, because it's Weeden. He can look really good, then do something really dumb.
I think offensively the Cowboys are pretty good, and defensively they are better. I am not sold on their defense yet though. I thought they were terrible last night, and really got beat badly by the Skins skill players.
