Mamadi Diakite - The real Brobley

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He's most likely not the player we saw last night. He got released by the Thunder last year and they were/are desperate for guys that fit his profile. I assume there was a reason. Maybe a light went off in his 26th year and he's now different than he has been. It could happen. He appears to be a solid guy and has good athleticism and length so giving him the last roster spot seems worth the chance, but I'd be pretty surprised if he displaced any of our rotation guys.

The preseason is NOT repeat NOT the right time for being reasonable and measured

I for one hope we sign L’il Evan Mobley and predict he becomes a superstar

i think a raw Kevin Garnett. Jumper is nice, quick hops. Good motor. What's not to like?

Yeah what's not to like. I sort of liked Moses Brown but, Diakite isn't that. Brown was a baby deer, but DIakite doesn't make a bunch of mistakes. Fundamental guy who can play with good players.

I mean maybe he becomes invisible, but you can just see how he fits with what the team is doing and what is expected of our big guys.

He had a broken hip after a series of 10 day contracts. They needed the roster spot because of one of their reshuffling trades. Broke hip is pretty serious, but not like a chronic thing. 2 years in the league only played a little over 30 games, but played great in the Gleague.

Prior to last night I don't think I ever seen him before. But if seeing is believing I like what I saw.
Seems like every other team finds a guy like that who causes havoc to the opponent. Maybe we finally found one.
Sign this guy up now before someone else does. He's worth keeping just on last nights performance.

I haven't been this excited about the 15th roster spot since we pushed 50 pages on the Billy Preston thread

It's preseason when you fall in love with the 15th spot. In reality we are even worse than that because we watch Travers and Diop highlights. Very fun to get hyped on the next Dean Wade

I wanna call him

It's actually very fun to find hidden gems. Perhaps more fun than drafting in the lottery. MAYBE.

Love this kid, he plays hard. If he keeps this up hes definitely in the rotation ahead of Lopez. Our rotation is looking stacked!

Fit matters. OKC was clearly tanking and was bringing in an abundance of young "gambles" on weekly contracts and getting rid of them soon after. They had 26 different guys log minutes last year. 26! Being patient wasn't their goal, looking for an immediate homerun was.

He's clearly worked on the aspects of his game that is needed to play at this level (his outside shot) and seems to be responding well to our vets and more talented bigs around him. He's absolutely deserving of a roster spot and hopefully continues to improve, which I think he will.

Fucking OKC pulling an advanced Hinkie scheme without any repercussions.

SGA on a medical leave for 2 years nowfor sprained hair follicle all while Hinkie got blackballed by the NBA for less. Smh!
