the lottery gods gave us Mobley when it could have been them. I don't much care what happens after that.

He's most likely not the player we saw last night. He got released by the Thunder last year and they were/are desperate for guys that fit his profile. I assume there was a reason. Maybe a light went off in his 26th year and he's now different than he has been. It could happen. He appears to be a solid guy and has good athleticism and length so giving him the last roster spot seems worth the chance, but I'd be pretty surprised if he displaced any of our rotation guys.

One of the downsides to taking other team's salary dumps for picks, as Presti is known for doing, is that you surrender roster slots in the process. Now add in the guys you drafted as a GM, who will get the benefit of the doubt over undrafted players, and there aren't as many roster slots as one might think.

Hes playing for the Charge (GLeague), not the Cavaliers (NBA). He was a draft pick just a few months ago and is a blood relative of one of our foundational players. He's gonna be a 2-way guy until he proves he can't do that.

Just to add to this. I think they have to trust what they scouted on Isaiah and continue with the plan. He wasn't expected to play for the Cavs this season, like you said he is expected to play for the charge. They immediately told everyone that they expected him to be a two way player. That gives us 2 year to hopefully develop Isaiah to become NBA ready.
