Minor League game thread 4/11-4/16

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not really, the prospects/players determine their path. Nothing is pre-determined.

There hasn't been a single SP since Antonetti and Francona, has been running the show that has less than 3 minor league seasons and less than 200 minor league innings. Even Bieber have about 250 before his call up plus had 13 starts before he was called up in 18...

Bibee will get around 10ish starts at AAA and if he's still pitching well, then Cleveland will call him up. He's on start 2 right now, so 8 weeks, sometime in June is his call up date...

We haven't had SP prospects like these since Sabathia.

It seems Boston has a middle of the road farm systems (depending on the ranking source, high of 10 & low rank of 23)..

If yesterday & today are a tru indication of the talent for the WoSox & the Clippers, the Red Sox are screwed....

I am going by Bieber since he was the fast track guy and it's June call up by going with how they handled him. I don't think they will handle Bibee any different than they did with Bieber.

CC came up with a different FO plus they needed a SP...

I stated if Cleveland was a team that needed an SP now/an organization void of SPs, Bibee could have made this team out of Spring, but Cleveland isn't a team void of SPs... They will want Allen to get some big league innings as well sometime this season it feels like.

If there was an injury to Bieber, Quan or Plesac tomorrow, Allen is up before Bibee...

Come June, the better of the two gets the call up...

Bibee could be special so service time should be a consideration barring catastrophe in the rotation. His call-up can wait until June and if he continues to dominate in AAA they should reduce is innings in AAA. Gotta save his arm for the bigs.

For the games on Friday 4/14/23.....

Scheduled starters (via Justin Lada @JL_Baseball
Guardians minor league pitching probables for Friday 4/14/23
(Last night's great slate of pitching really delivered)

Columbus: LHP Adam Scott
Akron: RHP Ross Carver
Lake County: RHP Tommy Mace/LHP Will Dion tandem
Lynchburg: RHP Yorman Gomez/RHP Zach Jacobs
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Overlooked, how good as Parker Messick been? First two starts on par with Allen, Williams, and Bibee.

Do you guys like when I post the boxscores at the end of the day? Just wondering cause if people do I will normally try to do so (if I don't fall asleep lol)

Both Lipscomb and Lampe keep piling on tonight.

Lampe is 2-4 with a double (3rd of the year) 3RBI and 1CS
Lipscomb 1-3 with a double (4th on the year) and a K.

Also Aaron Bracho is off to a torrid start for Akron. Wouldn't it be something to see him rise from the dead. He will be turning 22 in 10 days, kind of forget how young some of these "older" prospects really are.

@sportscoach and @CATS44 declared him dead as a prospect last year when I mentioned his name, so it's impossible for him to be doing anything in 2023. You must have your stats wrong

He literally was on the cusp of losing his organizational spot...

It doesn't mean he cannot change this and getting the chance at Akron and running with it is the way to do so.
