Minor League game thread 4/11-4/16

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I have to say that I don't understand Tanner Scott being one of Columbus' SP. Makes no sense to me whatsoever.

I don't know either since there is no Tanner Scott...

I know an Adam Scott..

Yeah him.

Honestly, I believe he's just there to eat innings more than anything else... Especially with Gaddis, Curry and Battenfield with the big league club...

I feel like he goes to the bullpen once TMac, Civale and Morris are back and healthy while Williams goes to AAA...

Williams should have started the season in Columbus IMO. No sense in pussyfootin' around with a kid that talented.

You have to trust the process... He's talented, but not as polished as Bibee...

10ish good+ starts at AA and Williams will be at AAA...

You just are too quick to promote players...

Uhhhhh I'm the one that's been stating that Bibee is the most polished SP prospect in this organization for months now so you're not telling me anything I don't know. That doesn't mean Williams isn't polished enough for AAA. His walk rate was actually pretty good at 3.1 BB9 in 2022. His hit rate was low and his SO rate was high. He should be in Columbus and he's another that could just skip AAA altogether and find success in Cleveland if they wanted to do that. I don't believe that they do, but he's pretty close to ready if he isn't now. There's no rush to get him to Cleveland at this point so don't go twisting what I'm saying.

I don't have to trust shit. This is a place of opinions and mine is that Williams should already be in Columbus pitching to Naylor instead of Scott who will never see any time in Cleveland.

Was I too quick to promote Bibee? You're the one that thought he should start the season in Akron and get promoted after so many starts. The cookie cutter approach is a chicken shit way to look at things or make good baseball decisions. Let Williams' performance be what tells you he's not ready, not some made up/bullshit theory on time or IP.

I think there are orgs that would have pushed Williams to AAA, we just arent one of them.

You sit and type about baseball, not run a team... The people who run the organization and minor leagues thought it was best to have Williams start at AA. I would think they know best and I trust their process...

For sure there would be... There would be organizations that may even just put him in the bigs even to learn that way. Cleveland's brain trust wanted him to start at AA and earn his way to AAA... Nothing else to it...

Just chiming in to say I hate this shit.

Pack it up. No reason to have a forum or talk sports. Those in authority are right (or at least more likely to be right than you), so you better not question them.

This is by far the dumbest post you've had in quite some time. Doesn't really deserve a response, but I'll just suggest that you can go ahead and blindly "trust their process", but the next time you suggest any fucking thing different than what they do I'm gonna shove it down your throat clear to the sack.

That's fair! Lol

I don't actually question Williams being at AA since that is within how they normally run a fast rising prospect.

Going with the normal promotions and system in place, Williams is exactly where I expected him to be with the fast track movement of a prospect.

He is starting at AA and the FO essentially is saying, prove you deserve to get to AAA... The normal promotion happens around 10ish starts, so that's what I stated...

He is stating, everything I am saying is B.S. when it's been done over and over again... Cleveland does the 10ish at one level for a SP and after the 10ish, if the pitcher is dominating then he gets moved up if they feel he's ready and does 10ish starts there. Then the next season, the 10ish starts at the last level, then the promotion...

That's just how Cleveland plans on paper, to promote SPs... Now, SPs can be slowed down or sped up from that (Aka Bibee was sped up and Burns was slowed down). I trust the process and system in place. Not sure how that is B.S.

You know I am messing with you a bit since how Cleveland normally handles a prospect is B.S to you... lol

You hate it because it's fucking stupid and antithetical to a public forum. I hope you jump my ass if I ever suggest to anyone here that they don't run a professional ball team so therefore they don't know shit.
