Minor League Games - 2024

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You don't even have to have a "hole" in minor league ball to get exposed to ML pitching do you? And I made no predictions as to when Rodriguez will be up at any point. I just want him to be given an opportunity.

Rodriguez wasn't sent down because he was never "up". He was an invite to ML camp as were many minor league players. He was never on the 26 man roster and hasn't been off of Columbus' roster.

Thanks Coach, but you don't need to explain my thoughts to this arrogant asshole.

He still got time with the big league club in spring training, but I doubt anyone believed (includinf the FO) he would make the MLB roster out of camp since we still had Laureano, we acquired Florial and Freeman got CF time...

Now if we went into camp without Laureano and Florial, J Rodriquez would have definitely been in the picture...

Right now though, J Rodriquez is likely (at least short term) the first call up IF an injury happens to any of the OFs...

Well yeah he got time with the big league club in ST. Weren't there several minor league players that got time with the big league club in ST Coach?

I agree and I pretty much said the same thing. The current roster construction is what kept Rodriguez in Columbus.

I also agree that he is likely the first OFer called up.

OK, moving on.....

Sorry I got tangled up in that silliness.

I presently have Laureano getting cut then Schneeman added while Fry gets the Laureano ABs in a sense, but that's because I don't want to give J Rodriquez a bench role and I want to get Fry more ABs...

That being stated, IF Florial or Laureano is cut/moved, I think that when it's very possible to see J Rodriquez get some ABs...

Lmao hahahahha

Man you're really not smart at all. At all.

Before making another post, you need to go and read the first post in the Guardians Forum Moderation thread. This kind of personal attack on another poster is not tolerated here. Feel free to criticize the substance of someone else's post, but off the cuff insults won't fly, and those who make them will be given the boot.

He was never on the ML roster. He was sent from ST to Columbus. He has not yet used an option and he's been on Columbus' roster.

He's trying to figure it out and in the end it might have Rodriguez in the OF so we're just gonna have to see. That's the nature of a young, unproven roster.
Actually at this point JRodriguez has burned his 1st option year.
Since he was already on the 40 man roster, being sent to AAA triggered an option being used (especially since he has been down 20 calendar days). He can get called up multiple times this season but it still only uses the 1 option..

Consider Valera is in his final option year but has not made it onto the MLB roster yet.

Thanks for the Clarification Mad.

Seems reasonable. This team is getting closer to the point where "see and find out" will be shut down as the roster solidifies itself. The only opportunities then will be when injuries occur. I don't see Laureano or Hedges as part of this team's future therefore I guess I've lost interest. Any opportunities created for talented young players and prospects is the way I'd personally go.

I feel like we could live without Laureano...

At this point I'd rather see Fry or Arias get his ABs, but we still have to replace him with someone since we have to have 13 position players.

Schneeman to me, fits an utility role plus he's 27 and past the age a player normally progresses much more outside of just experience, while guys like J Rodriquez, I feel like still has development left, so he needs an everyday role rather than a utility/13th man role. Plus with Schneeman having options, it allows for a much better roster flexibility IF injuries happen.

I'll worry about it once you give the exact same warning to the others calling me and asshole and a dick.
Do your job correctly and evenly or don't do it at all.
Hey new guy... Read the room. You have been abrasive, and you're probably about done here unless you show a little humility and basic respect.

I know you like Schneeman, but I don't think he's a fit on the current roster. We're pretty LHH heavy as it is wouldn't you say? I'd almost rather go with Tena than Schneeman, but neither are ideal IMO.

Columbus - RHP Adam Oller
Akron - LHP Rodney Boone
Lake County - LHP Parker Messick
Lynchburg - LHP Matt Wilkinson

Tugboat back on the mound for Lynchburg... 2 excellent starts to begin the year, will he go 3 for 3?

This might be a case where last year, coupled with his spring earns Schneeman the first cup of coffee when one becomes available.

I feel like you take somethings a bit to far (Aka how you come across on here verbiage wise).
Good Lord thank you for saying it. I had to finally put this dude on ignore. Was starting to think Reno popped back up.
