Moves the Indians should make for the 2nd half

Pilkington is R5 eligible.

Kudos to you for wishing this into reality, my man.

More evidence the R5 crunch isn't something the team is concerned with going forward.
or maybe they will address that by 4p tomorrow? --- btw, they can also make trades between the end of the season and when their 40 man has to be finalized for the r5 draft, right?

The Indians have a type.
It is difficult for me to complain about this return….I liked Cesar a good bit, but this is a nice add. Nobody is going to step in at this moment to fill his cleats in regard to the bat, but I am hopeful a reshuffling will take place in the middle infield, that will yield better defense.

Interesting article posted about 12 hours ago. Note White Sox speculation.

I was underwhelmed until I looked at his 2021 stats. And we should all be excited about the left-handed Lance Lynn comp. As an aside, who names their kid Konner with a K?
Just like naming someone Geoff or Kris. Just looks strange.

I like this return.
Not sure about the return.. The ability to add/subtract off his breaking pitches seems to be advanced.. but there's nothing about his FB that says ML'er.. Perhaps, with Drive Line type training he might be able to gain some separation in his pitches.. otherwise.. this deal looks a LOT like a salary dump.. thoughts?..

At this point, I'm inclined to let the org take chances on a guy with relatively mediocre stuff who has still managed to miss quite a few bats at an advanced level.

I expected something of a younger flyer who would fill in at the A+ or Rookie levels based on the White Sox presence in Latin America, the fact they've set aside concerns over R5 status makes me believe they actually like the kid and see the potential for at least a depth starter at the big league level.

It is a bit of a salary dump. But... We are hurting for upper level lefties and he has the stuff to be a LOOGY if that even exists anymore.

I would have preferred a bat, but a crafty control minded lefty might be able to work out of the pen or if we are really lucky, eat some innings as a BOR.
