Crusaders as a team name is DOA.

The Crusades are misrepresented in some ways, and popular histories lack context and are overrun with PC revisionism (won't get into it) but, going from the Indians to the Crusaders would be jumping from a pot of boiling of water right onto the grill.

Damn. Figured as much.

I don't really care for any of the team names that seem to be gaining momentum.

They won the Temple Cup, which only lasted 4 years because players and fans didn't care about it and it happened over 100 years ago. There's a history in Cleveland but it's a pretty weak one.

I like the name Crawdads but 1) it's already the name of a Rangers' minor league team in Hickory, NC and 2) you can eat them.

I'm still a fan of the Condors but I doubt it gets any consideration since there are none in Ohio and they're dead flesh eaters.
