The Last of Us Spoiler Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I wouldn't expect too many major changes from the games, as the guy who wrote the games is the co-showrunner on the series.

Even though Chris edited his post, maybe @The Human Q-Tip can edit a few of the replies as his original post is still in a quote reply

Yeah, second game will be adapted faithfully.

There is a sect of people who are very vocal and hated it for certain reasons, but it’s a phenomenal achievement in gaming, regardless of what anyone says.

Exactly. It’s a great game, and a small subset of gamers throwing a bitch fit shouldn’t change that. That subset is full of toxic losers anyway.

And like I said in the topic for the game, I expect the creative choices to play better for the TV audience, especially an HBO audience.

I do know enough to know that there likely were folks who review bombed because of certain "themes", but I also understood even from others that it was considered weaker otherwise.

But hell, I personally didn't play either (not a huge fan of linear, narrative games) so.my.opinion isn't really worth a bucket of warm spit.

Yeah, it wasn't as good as the first (IMO) but was still a great game.

I honestly think I may have liked Pt 2 more. Gameplay at least. And the story is divisive but more complex and creative I think.

Pt 1 will always be everyone’s baby though. Maybe I dont have that attachment, played way after the fact.

Part two indisputably had better gameplay. It was also roughly twice the length of the first game, especially compared to the original release (less so with the improved Part 1 release, but 2 is still superior).

And it should be noted that saying part two wasn’t as good narratively isn’t the same as saying it was bad. The first game has the best ending of any game I’ve ever played. The odds of the second game topping it were always slim.

Safe to say they adequately captured David's creepiness from the game.

Great episode. Got a bit of a flashback to TWD, but very well done.

Slightly disappointed that Troy Baker (the one who portrays Joel in the games) wasn’t the one being tortured by Joel.
