They even did a movie about one of the main peeps as well if i remember correctly. Check your history of porn and film. Your parents may have been apart of the trial run of the 60s advancement haha
Okay, so we gotta get back to baseball. I know you arent an expert, but what do you think of the move?
Clevinger was gone in the offseason if not now, we had 6 maybe 7 starters maybe more if Logan is ready, so it was a position of stgrength.
Getting 5 players who at one time were top 100 prospects seems like a huge haul for a big arm that will be gone in 1.5 years and has had injury problems in the past.
I am more excited for Naylor than most, love the fact his little brother is the catcher of our future most likely, but like the fact he is another big bat, kind of like a Reyes light...but should be a solid hitter in the 6 or 7 hole. I think many are sleeping on our outfield now. Deshields is very average, but is decent defensively, has speed to burn and has had some timely hits and batting .277 this year although a career .250 hitter, in the 9 hole he is a bit protected and is fitting nicely. Naquin has been good, very good, mid 800 OPS, batting around .300, lots of 2 out hits...and he is a career .800 OPS guy, now that he is healthy we need to hope he stays that way.
We have been hoping for some pop in the outfield, and with our short right field porch, I think Naylor is set to be that guy, basically the guy we were hoping the now DFA'd Santana could become. Naylor isn't Trout or anything, but he should be a bit above average bat that can hit for some power. Moving forward we still have the top rotation, one of the top bullpens, and now our outfield isn't a complete joke. With a good infield, that could be all we need to make the WS and get swept by the Dodgers, lol. (they look tough, but baseball is weird, you never know)
