Traded him for Eric fucking Murray.
Disgusting trade.
And give credit to that Dolphins staff for building that defense... and making them GOOD this year.Chiefs let Ogbah walk too. Unfortunately, he could never stay on the field.
Give credit to the Dolphins for taking the risk.
My 15 year saw on instagram that Watt was buying a house in Strongsville and couldn't wait to tell me...Someone from Pittsburgh just told me they heard on Twitter that JJ Watt was buying a house in Strongsville.
Or JJ signs a one year deal for whatever he can get for one chance to play with his bros and then possibly sign longer once Ben retires...the steelers would have to cut about 8 players to make it happen, or potentially 6 players and completely talk down Big Ben from his salary.
We’ve got like 20M in cap space. Jj is going to cost at least 10. We still need to sign our rookies. JJ would cripple us. We wouldn’t be able to sign, resign or extend anyone. Plus we need a good amount of of carry over for next year to keep the core intact. Think we’d have to say goodbye Odell at that point.
Our cap space now is likely not going to stay at that number. We will cut some players and maybe restructure some deals. Among the teams with cap space, we are one of the more attractive spots (and one of the youngest teams). We’ve got like 20M in cap space. Jj is going to cost at least 10. I mean I’m not going into an in depth detail of our salary situation but it basically is. We’d have to do some cap magic and cut a few players. Even then jj would take a good amount of our remaining cap and we still have other positions to address. We would be very strapped for cash. That’s not the way any of this works really, but right on!
I think Richardson and keenum are goners. I like having a competent backup qb but 7M is way too much. Those 2 alone would give us 20M. I’d gladly trade Shelton and Case for jj.Our cap space now is likely not going to stay at that number. We will cut some players and maybe restructure some deals. Watt will want to get paid, so it will take a big contract to land him. However, with the cap shrinking in 2021, he could come at a lower price than in a typical year.
As far as Beckham goes, I just get the feeling this is his last year here. He and Landry are a very expensive WR tandem, and as we look at places to cut salary in 2022 and beyond, I think WR is one of the spots we do it.
