Which player are you most excited about? Which will have the largest impact on winning?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I’m looking forward to seeing how Garland goes in year 3. I’ve said it here before but I believe Garland will have a bigger impact than Ja Morant. I’m also looking to see how Lauri does offensively because I really liked his talent since this Finnish days. Of course am excited to see Mobley but from an impact point, Garland, Sexton, and Lauri.

Okoro and Garland will make a big enough jump to contribute to winning basketball. Sexton has a ton of money on the line and I know he took zero breaks all off-season so year 4 will be a monster year (less usage + more trust in more talented/improved teammates).

Lauri Markkanen will show the world he was mishandled in Chicago and show out for the Cavs as a top 3 scoring option behind Sexton and Garland. Lauri simultaneously addresses the shooting and scoring woes this team had last season (bottom 5 in both categories) and he does so while playing in the front court which is key.

JBB will have the largest impact on winning (I know a cop out lol). He'll have to find ways to optimize roles and find combination that fit cohesively together to grind out results. Some luck will also be needed in the injury department.

I'm interested to see how the bench plays out. While I hope they get better (and I think they will), we pretty much know who Sexton, Garland, Okoro, & Allen are. But I have no idea what the bench will look like. Will Mobley or Markkanen start? How will Rubio look? How much will Love play? Who plays the most minutes on the wing positions? Who mans the 5 when Allen is out? Will Windler stay healthy and be productive? Will Wade get enough minutes to build off last year? Can Stevens prove he's an NBA player? I think we have the potential to have a pretty good bench, it might even be a strength on this team, but will they find their roles and mesh?

Yeah Garland will have a hit the wall season if he keeps playing in CLE imo & little chance he takes a major leap without a mental adjustment to playing faster to accommodate the advantages and fit of his teammates in that regard. Cavs should just move him and be done with it. Philly wants him and the only one that will be hurt by it is Allen so they can just trade him to

Guards have usually the most impact on winning, so its gotta be Garland.

Most excited for Lauri, but that's just bc he's from my homeland. Overall the bigs rotation with Cavs will be quite interesting to see how it turns out.

This is a tough question because I'm kind of excited to see all of it (at least the top 8 players or whatever).

But in particular, I guess I'm most excited to see Garland and Mobley. I think I'm a little luke warm on Okoro after watching him in the summer league a bit (crappy basketball and all).

I'm also excited to see how Sexton evolves again. I suspect we'll see a 50 point game, and maybe even like a triple double from him or something.

Our new players are intriguing too, what will happen Rubio, Lauri etc... and I'm hoping Jarrett gets his steps back and plays like he did when he first arrived.

I'm not particuarly excited about the coaching...and afraid they'll do stupid stuff like starting Love, and whatever annoying other things.

I'm hoping that Cedi can regain his confidence and be an average stop gap wing. He shouldn't be asked to handle the ball or the toughest assignment on defense.

Is it too late for him to become a three and D type player? Maybe he can make his contract not look like garbage.

Think Lauri and Garland have the best opportunities to grow out of the bunch. Garland will have a much better supporting cast and Rubio to help mentor him. Lauri should get an endless amount of opportunities to shoot threes off Garland/Sexton drives. Hope he can regain his confidence too.

I'll just say Cedi likes to play fast. He is not good in the half court. I think he could see a little renaissance with Rubio. I don't want him doing anything more than catch and shoot in the half court. Driving the ball off a rebound or steal is fine. He is good in the open court.

I do wish they have given him more reps creating early on. He's probably a better playmaker than Collin, but he's too old to develop that way at this point.

Most excited about: Rubio - See what a leader who can play and has a track record of mentoring can do for this team.
Largest impact on winning: Mobley - rookie year offensively will progress along the season but he will impact winning on defense.
