In those two weeks, Allen's numbers are .471/.571/.882, so I mean he is doing his job is he not? Luplow also has been putting up better swings overall against RH pitchers of late. I mean the other day, he didn't hit the lefty starter but hit off of the right reliever.
Honestly I agree with its likely Allen who loses his spot right now on the roster, but not because he isn't playing well, mostly because they want a different dynamic in the line up. I feel in the playoffs Allen is on the roster, while they go with 11-12 pitchers.
This lineup has been very good of late, so I still hope they get a setup man, so I am not against the Greene-Castellanos idea, or even the Dyson-Slater idea that
@Randolphkeys inspired the other day.
@jack hammill I don't care what other peeps say, I have to agree with you when it comes to Puig. He has talent, but is too far up his butt to be worth acquiring for this type of roster. Like if they do get him, I know why they did, but I would prefer they don't. Also at least Donaldson is considered a good guy and never been said to be a clubhouse issue. On paper it looked like a good move, but at the end of the I think moving Jose was a bad idea when everything on the team was running smoothly. I feel if we get a DH/utility style of player, it wouldn't hurt us all that much this season since he really isn't taking a position from someone. Castellanos would just be a DH who would fill on other guys days off in the OF. Slater would just be a pure RH hitter to rotate into the lineup, who would give guys like Kipnis, Naquin, Bauers days off against lefties.
