There is a discussion happening literally right now about DG the PG and Morant in two other threads.
In this thread, there is some really good constructive breakdown of Collin's game from last night in which he guarded Morant a bunch (I felt he had the right attitude about it but got penalized by some "no touching" officiating, outside of that stupid rip-through where Collin's got to be smarter) and he allowed Melton to have all day to shoot set perimeter shots quite a bit when Collin would lose him while ball watching.
Darius Garland and Collin Sexton play two entirely different positions with styles and mentalities that simply don't need to be compared anymore.
I don't believe it's childish to admit that those two styles are a impediment to both guys growth and ability to contribute to winning and I don't see many posts doing that in this thread outside of you and my bff Rich.
It's crazy to see guys openly rooting for the demise of players on our team simply because they've taken an opposite stand. I'm reaching out as a strong DG over Collin in the starting lineup advocate to say...
PS. I HATED Tristan over JV in '11 AND Waiters over Drummond in '12 as I felt both picks limited the growth/development potential for Kyrie. I remember after one particularly bad Kyrie showing against Calderon (he used to get in Kyrie's ass btw) I came on the board ready to sacrifice Dion and Tristan both at the "let my PG grow" altar. So I'm not typing this hypocritically, I was in that sunken place hating a few Cav players before.
Come to the light, Tripper. Step away from the Collin vs DG debate man
