2020 NFL Draft Thread - Day 3

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Would have liked Peoples-Jones there but I’ll never whine about prioritizing OL depth in the middle rounds. Teeter is a good player; watching a guy like him for a year while you establish yourself in a conditioning program could pay nice dividends.
DPJ is very talented but got zero development his entire time in College. Going to be pretty difficult to make that up at this point, regardless of the talent.

Nick Harris had 18 career starts at guard & 24 starts at center...
Functional depth now and heir apparent in a few seasons???

Would be pretty stoked with 6th rounder being KJ Hill or DPJ. DPJ intrigues me more.

Harris is going to get some snaps at some point just for development. If he were two inches taller with slightly longer arms he would have been gone in the second round. His balance and hand placement are exceptional and he runs like a fullback to the second level.

I mean I know the Browns don't plan to run a lot of 3 WR sets, but I have to imagine they need to get some rotational depth for Landry and Beckham, even more so with their injuries..

Could this open up a return for Higgins?

Are the Browns a lot higher on Taywan Taylor and also Damion Ratley (who Berry was here two years ago when we drafted) as a vertical threat then we thought?

With the way the board fell, I can't be mad about who they took but really would have thought they would have taken advantage of the deep WR class...

He could see him pushing for that RG spot

I think we will see them take a receiver in the 6th if not Higgins will more than likely be resigned

Peoples-Jones makes more sense to me because he fills a couple holes. We might not run a ton of 3WR sets, but he's fast, has some size, and is a good returner. Seems like we've struggled to find a returner for several years now.

Didn't we sign the Rams kick returner? Not that I'm opposed to adding a guy as I agree our return game has been horrible.

I wouldn't discount the idea of some pretty good players entering the supplemental draft this year with COVID. Might be pretty nice we picked up an extra 3rd last night in case we bid on a player.

I've been wanting to bring this up. It's certainly possible that we could use a pick or two in the supplemental draft if a lot of good skill position guys enter. I also think the college season could get canceled this year, which means using picks in the supplemental draft could be a smart tactic if enough good players enter.
