Right. That’s if he wants to be here, which is still a big IF. If he does, why hasn’t he picked up his option yet??Drummond is only 27 and just entering his prime. Drummond should help the team win now, without sacrificing the future. It's not as if the Cavs gave up any young players for Drummond, or have any young centers waiting in the wings.
The acquisition of Drummond is not inconsistent with winning now, nor is it inconsistent with the Cavs developing their own homegrown talent. The Cavs can continue to develop Sexton, KPJ, Garland, Windler, Osmand and this years #5 pick.
