I am sure you vividly remember that series! lol

Actually, I vividly remember Maz's walk off in the seventh game.

I was sitting in my Grandpa's kitchen, listening to it on the radio.

Grandpa lived just down the street. He and Dad had some kind of errands to run, and I went with them. We got back just as the ninth inning began.

MLB shop is wonderful. I ordered a whiskey glass with the new logo, and they sent one with the old logo. Asked for a replacement and they sent one with the old logo again. Sigh.

Also you need to talk to their chat in order to replace an item and it asks for your order number, then the link to go back to the chat is broken.

Edit #2: Well I get to keep both glasses and they refunded my money because they can’t figure it out and have placed all the glass orders on hold lol.

Sounds like baseball needs some work in more way than one...

It's humorous to me, but if they are purposely trying to fill orders with discontinued stock that's pretty shady.

As we wait for ST, here is another FanGraph ZIP simulation / predictions for next year. Hey, we got 2nd place in division 78-84 10GB but 9th place for playoff teams (in 6/7 team bracket) -- 2GB of 7th/8th place AL West teams at 81-81. Those 2 West teams includes Oakland who will probably continue its sell off after CBA freeze is lifted.

From FanGraphs...

ZiPS Projections – American League Central
TeamWLGBPctDiv%WC%Playoff%WS Win%
Chicago White Sox8874.54370.7%4.2%74.8%8.0%
Cleveland Guardians788410.48112.0%5.5%17.5%1.3%
Detroit Tigers768612.4696.9%3.5%10.4%0.7%
Minnesota Twins758713.4635.9%2.9%8.8%0.6%
Kansas City Royals748814.4574.5%2.2%6.7%0.4%
The Central projects similarly to last year, with two clear tiers: the White Sox and everyone else. Right now, there’s no particular reason to expect Chicago to do anything but coast to the divisional title, with the usual caveats for injuries and the like.

So it sounds like if we add in a 3-4 WAR bat and keep a healthy SP, we could get a wild card spot with one move you think?

It all depends on assuming everyone else ahead of you and behind you do nothing ... only problem is Oakland is selling (thus will move down) while others are buying (in trades and FA) and usually are more aggressive than we are. Also shows how we probably need to do something just to hold off those who are behind us.
