Rondo's just too damn quick for LeBron and any knowledgeable fan can see that, sure LBJ can guard him for a couple of plays a game but he can't match up with him the whole game, LBJ would get caught on a pick and Rondo will just get to the hoop and either score or pass it out to an open man....

One shitty PG gets hot from 3 for a couple of games and now LBJ can't guard PG's. LBJ can, like other posters said, guard anyone 1-3. Any player can light up another player if that player gets hot from 3, good defense is one thing but if a player is hitting contested 3's there is nothing you can do about. Rondo is not a shooter though, he just slashes, gets boards, and makes passes; why wouldn't the faster/stronger/taller LBJ be able to stop that?

How is he going to get caught on a screen when he will be going underneath every ball screen? Pick and Rolls won't be a problem for LeBron because you don't have to worry about Rondo's shooting.

I found an article on SI that features the top 10 players in the NBA according to 271 players in the game. I know it's not a hard stat or anything but I think players who play against these guys would know who is fastest. LBJ is on the list and Rondo is not.

good point. But if LBJ gives Rondo room then he will just drive by him......look I'm a huge LeBron fan but if we got to rely on LBJ stopping Rondo's penetration then were in trouble....that's what we have West for.
