Moves the Indians should make for the 2nd half

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Keibert Ruiz was just brought up as the Nats "catcher of the future".. making Riley Adams, at least, partially expendable.. Anyone want a black belt behind the plate?..it would make a runner looking to crash into him think twice.. ?
Might be worth a look, but I'm closing in on being all about Lavastida.

Currently Lavastida is at exactly 162 games played in his MILB career.. Though a catcher won't play a complete season here are his standard numbers

Games 162PA 683AB 576Runs 105Hits 1802B 423B 4HR 10RBI103SB 24CS16BB 83K 100.313.404.451.856

He seems super consistent at this point of his development and if he finds another gear... Look out.

The K's are climbing though, so rushing him could hurt him a lot. However, starting 2022 in Columbus should happen.

My thoughts exactly. I was like HUH?
...those are thoughts echoed throughout our reservation... Gian who?.. a guy who's been paid to play baseball for 8 years while accumulating some pretty darn unimpressive numbers.. everywhere.. Can he catch a big League pitcher?.. who knows?.. He's more of a bullpen catcher than a player.. but, he gets to got to the field every day to play a child's game.. so.. that's something..

I am pretty jazzed to see what Lavastida ends up brining to the table. He should spend a lot of time/start 2022 in AAA with Naylor repeating at Akron. If Lavastida performs well he will get called up. Current outlook or 2022 - Hedges, Perez or a FA will be brought in as a bridge to an internal option which would be Mr. Lavastida sooner than later.

Or trade Naylor(s) + for Bart?
Brother! I can get on board with that.

I can see bringing Parker back next year if just for the mentoring alone.

[Trevor] Stephan, a Rule 5 draft pick, has come along slowly this season, but turned in some outstanding recent performances as he’s developed the split-change with help from Parker since the veteran arrived in early June.

“It’s a big pitch for him,” Parker said. “To see him go out there and throw it with confidence, that was my biggest thing with the splitter, was to go out, have some confidence in it, have some success with it and then continue to use it and utilize it because it’s a great weapon for him.”....

“If that thing clicks for him, we’re looking at a really nice high-leverage, late-inning bullpen guy,” [Austin] Hedges said.

Maybe next year Parker can not only pitch innings but help all the younger guys develop.

Shhhh.

Don't tell anyone that having aging vets around for their leadership...or locker room presence...has value.

If it can't be measured, it doesnt count.

Evidently you should have had an older, experienced girl and she could have taught you how to use your immeasurably small penis.

How is an older girl with worse eyesight going to help this situation?
