I'd say it is about an 80% chance he's a Cavs next year. They can't trade him at the moment with his injury, so the only realistic way he's not back next year is if some other team overwhelms him with an offer we cannot match. With his injury question marks, I think that unlikely. Anything near reasonable we will keep him, because one thing this team still needs is someone besides Garland who can create his own shot. Come playoff time, if we make it, our offense will be suffocated by teams going all out to stop Garland because we have no one else who can create his own shot. We aren't getting anyone better than Sexton in the draft, this team never has any luck bringing in free agents, and starting next year we are no longer in a longterm developmental mode, we are in a win now mode. Sexton fits that better than anyone we could bring in to replace him.
