Dodgers looked dead in the water most of the game. Great comeback in the 8th inning. This has been a great series.
I accidentally watched 15 seconds of a pregame show that started with "how does Astros player ______ have great numbers in the playoffs"I saw the Astros had a nun throw out the first pitch last night. They’re still MLB’s biggest cheaters nonetheless.

It made no sense for him to be in the AL.....but where does he play when not pitching? 1B?
While I agree with your comments about Eddie, that doesn’t eliminate the sting of Cleveland only getting his bad performance. There is a fair amount of good fortune involved in Atlanta's deadline moves.
Eddie is Eddie...a good, not great ball player. Over the course of any season, he will be bad over a short span and spectacular over a short span....but average out to being good.
In his case, we got the bad and Atlanta got the good.
When Spring Training rolls around, we will see some bad and some spectacular over six weeks. Neither will mean nearly as much as track records and the trends within those track records.
...and so at the end of the season when all the games have been played, we made a good signing - first half feels random as does the second half - but the season itself is about rightThere is a fair amount of good fortune involved in Atlanta's deadline moves.

God damnit, going forward can we throw a shits and giggles clause into these deadline deals that say in the off chance if you win the World Series with him in your lineup we also get a PTBNL?Rationalize and reconcile it as needed personally.
But the Braves certainly won the deadline trades, as they traded Pablo Sandoval (who was immediately DFA'd) for the NLCS Most Valuable Player.
Rosario also hit 270/330/573/903 in 33 regular season games for Atlanta.. It was certainly a pure salary dump trade, but it sure stings a little. We got more in return for Jake Bauers IMO.. Oh well, it is what it is and GO BRAVES!
